The AGENCYOFCHANGE.NET was founded early 2006 as a platform for projects & applied architectuREAL research. It became a way to practice architectureality.

In practicing architectureality we loosely use »scientific means« as we use »artistic means« and play with them. Our intention is not to practice either »science« nor »art«, but to shape architecture as an open source.
In that sense the projects and text that will follow are neither scientific, nor pure application: it is diffusion between genres, creating something new.

To a limited extend the AGENCYOFCHANGE.NET can be seen as dealing with »avantgardism«, understanding »avantgardism« – with Peter Sloterdijk’s words – “as the competence to coerce all members of a society to a decision over something that does not spring from itself” (PS: 1998, p. 3).
In as such, as architecture is a society in itself (with its own fetishes, believes and myths), we will at least hope to coerce some of its members to cross the limits of its self-description (architecture as the art of building).
Still, we truly believe that our suggestions are not new, and least of all, are our suggestions come from NOWHERE.
